«I have known Tiago since he joined Sunvia in October 2021 & I worked with him for 6 months. As part of a small engineering team, I was looking into DevOps related issues and had close interaction with our developers.
Tiago joined as a developer very early on. He was involved in developing the distributed file storage system for the product. When Tiago joined we did not have much of a product in place, so he has built things ground up, seen our systems grow more complex and understands the pains of building a new product.
Tiago is one of the best Python developers I have worked with in my career. He has an eye for detail and meticulously documents every relevant aspect improving the experience of all stakeholders involved. I loved his approachability, willingness to help out and a great attitude he maintained especially when the going was tough in our early days. Handling daily troubleshooting and at the same time trying out new things was a tough balance and he had the composure and tenacity to persevere through this and help us succeed.
I’d like to see Tiago more involved in the decision making process of developing new products such as build vs buy, rationale behind coming up with those decisions. I think in the right environment he is certainly capable of such ownership and driving those initiatives.
I enjoyed working with Tiago and would love to work with him again.»

He was co-chair of our Doctoral Consortium, successfully & with grace stewarding over 20 attendees to present their graduate work in XR & Immersive Learning and assisting with the organization, peer support, setting agenda, and providing back-end infrastructure for the event, as well as actively engaging throughout the event professionally.
